About Donating a Class
Donating a class is a valuable and rewarding way for studios and individual teachers to take action and contribute to the Peace Project. You can donate a single class or a series of classes, and we make it easy for you by providing supporting materials, marketing ideas, and templates. Donating a class is a great way not only to help the project, but also to get the word out that you and your classes are working for a great cause.
To donate a class, follow these easy steps:
1. Pick the time and location.
You may want to donate a regularly scheduled class, or have a special event that you can invite the larger community to. A good amount of time to publicize the event is 6-8 weeks, so look at least a couple of months ahead.
2. Add a theme.
We encourage you to perpetuate the theme of cultivating peace by making your donated class "peace-centered". You may also want to offer a special class rate or sliding scale for your big event so cost is not a limiting factor for those who are interested but do not have the means.
3. Register.
Once you have your time, date, location and theme, simply fill out the PDF below and email or fax it to us. We will then send you a kit via email with all the materials you need to help you fill the room with peace-minded individuals (for snail mail versions, please enclose $10 payment for CD and shipping).
4. Invite the community.
In your packet, you will receive materials that will help you spread the word. These include:
 A press release template
A PDF of a poster customizable for your event
JPEGS of logos for promotional materials and newsprint ads
E-postcards and suggested mails to send to your current email list
A list of suggested invitees
This is a great opportunity to bring new students to your classes and to network with other like-minded individuals and agencies, so spread the word far and wide!
5. Teach the class.
Included in your kit will be things to help you organize your big event such as a countdown checklist, registration forms,and payment information including donation information (HOY Peace Project is a 501c3, so all donations are tax deductible!).
6. Complete your donation.
After the event, simply complete your donation via credit card on line or by mailing a check.
